Midwest Poultry Convention

March 22-24th Life-Science Innovations, Nova-Tech Engineer, PALS, and Select Genetics had the opportunity to participate in the Midwest Poultry Federation Convention (MPF) at the Minneapolis Convention Center.  MPF is the largest poultry trade show and convention in the U.S. that is 100% focused on poultry.  Some of the highlights from the convention included: connecting with vendors and customers, serving alongside industry leaders in the Midwest Poultry Consortium, and participating in Student Career Day, connecting with bright undergrad and graduate students interested in the poultry industry!  In preparation for the busy season, PALS also debuted their new hog, poultry and feed additive catalogs featuring a great picture of Ted Huisinga on the farm on their poultry catalog.

Exemplary Leadership Award

Congratulations to Jim Sieben, Nova-Tech Engineering General Manager, on receiving the Exemplary Leadership Award from the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce!  The award was presented at their Volunteer Appreciation Lunch on March 24th.  The Exemplary Leadership Award (ELA) is designed to honor someone who has achieved recognition in their field and made significant contributions to their respective profession and business or organization.  Congratulations to Jim Sieben for this honor!

The Select Genetics | Industrial Park Hatchery in Willmar held an anniversary lunch on Thursday, March 31st to recognize three long-term employees.  Kim Skare, Office Administration, celebrated 30 years the end of March.  Merle Sietsema, Hatchery Maintenance Lead, celebrated 40 years the beginning of March.  Marvin Reich, Hatchery Sanitation, celebrated 39 years mid-March.  Combined they have 109 years of service to the organization!  Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to the organization!
