HR Summit

For the past five years the LSI Human Resources team has hosted an HR Summit to gather HR staff throughout the organization for in-person education, training, and team building sessions. The 2023 HR Summit, which wrapped up last week, included sessions on strengths, stress management, recruiting, UKG and more! The Summit was attended by 45 team members throughout our organization and new this year a virtual option was offered to employers in the local area and their HR staff. Below are some fun pictures from the event which included a “dress as your spirit decade” bowling night!  Overall, the event was a success, allowing attendees to connect in-person with each other and share best practices between the teams!

TVF Soccer Team

Introducing the Turkey Valley Farms Live Hangers’ soccer team…The Killers!  Many of the live hangers at TVF started this community soccer team and have been growing as a team. They have come a long way since they started as many didn’t know how to play when they started!  The team has a 3-3-2 record and are currently in the quarter finals for the playoffs!  Eric, the Live Hang supervisor, said he is super proud of his team both on and off the field. He also noted that the live hangers have been doing an incredible job at work this summer dealing with having to work in the high temperatures and he really appreciates how hard they all work!

Appreciation Lunches

Select Genetics | Osceola, IA

The Osceola Hatchery held an Employee Appreciation BBQ on Friday, July 28^th. They had hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, cake, candy, and lemonade and also handed out Pepsi coupons for all employees to use for drinks other than lemonade, in the vending machines. PALS

PALS hosted a Customer Appreciation event on Tuesday, August 8th and invited staff within our organization to attend as well.  They grilled burgers and brats and had some delicious sides of salads, beans, chips and cookies for dessert!

Nova-Tech Engineering

This past month Nova-Tech held their summer company gathering for team members. Team members were given the option of attending a Green Lake boat cruise, a Willmar Stinger’s game or receiving a discount on Nova-Tech clothing from Rambow. Below are some pictures from the in-person events!

Life-Science Innovations

Mid-July, Life-Science Innovations held their annual summer event at the Big Kahuna Fun Park in Spicer.  Employees were able to enjoy a night out with their families and connect with co-workers including some of our out of town IT staff!  Even with a little rain it was a fun evening of go-karts, mini golf, pizza, ice cream and bingo!

Announcement! Medical health plan provider changes coming for 2024

Beginning January 1st, 2024, the company provided medical insurance will be moving from Allegiance and the Cigna network to a new third-party administrator, UMR. While we know change can cause uncertainty, we believe this change will be a great benefit for our employees. We also know that over 99% of the current medical providers used by our employees throughout the United States will remain in-network. UMR utilizes the UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus network. If you would like to see if your current provider/s are in-network, you can use the Find a Provider function on the UMR website at www.umr.com.

 

*** NOTE ***  You will not be able to register as a member or obtain assistance from UMR until you receive your medical identification card the end of December.
