Epitopix – Salmonella Newport:

LSI-Employee-UpdateEpitopix recently had an exciting company meeting where new General Manager, Terri Wasmoen, shared the state of the company and the exciting news of their official USDA License for their Salmonella Vaccine.

Here is a word from Terri about the vaccine:

This vaccine prevents mastitis and death caused by the bacteria Salmonella Newport and has been sold under a conditional license. The full license confirms USDA’s unconditional endorsement of the Safety, Efficacy, and Quality of this important vaccine. It is like the “Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval” only much more difficult to obtain!! Epitopix partners with Zoetis Animal Health (#1 Global Animal Health Company) to provide this important tool to dairy producers in the US. Zoetis expects to sell over 5 Million doses of vaccine next year. Congratulations to the Epitopix Team on this great accomplishment.

Regards,
Terri

Thank you Terri for the update and again, congratulations to everyone at Epitopix. Good job!

New Northern Division Breeder ManagerCraig

We are happy to announce that Craig Frederick has accepted the position with WPC Ag Forte as Northern Division Breeder Manager. Craig has been with WPC for over 21 years servicing the Minnesota IEP’s (Independent Egg Producers). He will now be adding the Minnesota Company Breeder Farms to his realm of responsibilities. In this role, he will be responsible for all operations that result in the production of hatching eggs that are produced in the state of Minnesota for the Ag Forte system.  Ag Forte is the largest producer of turkey hatching eggs in the world with an annual production of 110 million eggs. Approximately 50 million of these eggs are produced in Minnesota (50% company produced, and 50% produced by IEP’s).

Please give Craig your congratulations and support as he transitions into his new role.

IPH Office Pranks

Recently there have been a little bit of pranking going on at Ag Forte’s Industrial Park Hatchery in Willmar, MN. It all started when Kim Skare ordered some large bulletin boards, when we say large, we are talking about practically billboard size here. The boards were hung up and Kim mentioned that the leftover boxes would be perfect for Josh Listman’s (Hatchery Supervisor) son to play with. Josh tested it out by setting up a fort in the cafeteria first, then later decided that it would be better suited for Neil Miller’s (IPH General Manager) office. After Neil’s office was redesigned with a new tunnel entry, he walked over and said “What’s this? Do I actually have to go through it?” Josh’s reply was obviously ‘yes’ and then Neil proceeded to crawl through to his desk! (Pictures Below)

Josh came in the next day and there happened to be a cardboard wall set up around his desk. Clearly Neil dished out some payback. Notice his new nametag and the custom doorbell that says “(press and say ‘ding dong’).”

We all love to see this kind of office fun! Thanks for the entertainment guys.
