Next Nest Hatching
Thank you to everyone who voted and provided feedback on the creation of the Next Nest Hatching logo – a logo has been chosen!
Along with the creation of a logo comes other branding pieces, including the start of a website, nextnesthatching.com. As Next Nest continues to grow as a company, the website will continue to be built out as well. Check it out to see progress on construction over at the Willmar Poultry Innovations building (Headstart Hatching), review the key differentiators, and sign up for a newsletter to receive updates.
With the creation of Next Nest, there is also a bit of a team restructure. Congratulations to Jonathan Huisinga on becoming General Manager of Next Nest Hatching! He will be ensuring the company hits the ground running with success and continue to build on the operations side of the company. With Jonathan moving over to Next Nest full time, congratulations are also in order for Jared Huisinga on being promoted to Director of R&D for Life-Science Innovations! We are excited to see where Jared steers this group and the new research projects they are taking on as Next Nest takes off.
Employee Appreciation Day
The first Friday of March is National Employee Appreciation Day. Nova-Tech Retirement

After 21.5 years with Nova-Tech, Nancy Miller retired on February 25, 2022. Congratulations Nancy!
Nancy was recognized as a valued team member for Nova-Tech as her dedication, hard work and friendly personality have been integral to her successful work as a production planner and in several other roles over the years. She truly encompassed our company values on a regular basis. We are grateful for Nancy’s contributions over the years that have helped Nova-Tech live out our purpose of creating revolutionary solutions that advance our customers’ ability to feed the world. Nancy worked with many team members and departments over the years, and we wish her well in retirement.
National Nutrition Month
With March being National Nutrition Month and our organization having a tie to the turkey industry, what better time to highlight the nutritional value of eating turkey?! Gram for gram, turkey offers more protein than any other meat. It is a low to moderate source of fat, contains no carbohydrates and is a rich source of B vitamins. Eating turkey also offers additional health benefits like promoting muscle retention, preventing anemia, and supporting heart health. Both the National Turkey Federation and Minnesota Turkey Growers Association have a variety of turkey recipes on their websites that you can check out. Find a recipe that interests you and start taking advantage of the health benefits!
