Campus Blood Drive

MinnWest Technology Campus and Life-Science Innovations partnered on November 3rd to host the first campus blood drive and it was a huge success!  Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help with this event and to those who donated.  Below are some interesting statistics from this event.

Company Happenings

PALS

On November 2nd, PALS hosted an Employee Appreciation grill out.  Everyone was able to enjoy delicious food and wonderful weather as it was one of the last warm days in MN before the temperatures dropped.

Nova-Tech Engineering

Each month Nova-Tech Engineering gathers their team members to celebrate team members anniversaries, below are a few shots from the most recent celebration in November.

Recently, KMS High School sent 18 Juniors and Seniors who are welding and engineering students to tour Nova-Tech Engineering.  They were able to learn more about the company and gain a better understanding of the types of careers available in welding and engineering.

Nova-Tech Engineering recently hosted a group of MAP (Manufacturing and Production) students for 8 days of hands-on learning experiences.  The students learned about assembly, refurbishing, design/drafting, CNC programming and machining.

Select Genetics

The Select Genetics | Osceola office participated in a 3rd Grade Field Day the middle of October.  Each year Select Genetics, along with other local companies, participate in this event to introduce kids to the agriculture industry.  The children walk through each station and Select Genetics gets to present for about 15 minutes.  A total of 110 students participated.  This year the Select Genetics team introduced them to baby poults, eggs, gro-gel, and showed them a map of all the places around the world where Select Genetics delivers poults.  Members of the Select Genetics team who participated included Misty Williams, HR Coordinator; Gaby Zamora, Back Crew Supervisor; Sabrina Hatfield, Service Room Supervisor; and Donny VanSickle, Maintenance Assistant.

The Select Genetics | Missouri office handed out candy for Halloween at the YMCA city event where close to 3,000 people attended.

Turkey Valley Farms

Recently, Turkey Valley Farms created a couple ‘prayer rooms’ for their employees who practice the Islamic religion.  The employees have really appreciated this and it is a great example of Employee Wellbeing!

Spotlight on Benefits

Open Enrollment – 2 DAYS REMAINING!

Open Enrollment for 2023 closes on Friday, November 18th!  If you have not elected your benefit coverages for next year or waived benefits, please do so before Friday.  All benefit-eligible employees must complete the enrollment process.  If you have questions about your current benefits or need help accessing the UKG Benefits Admin Portal to elect benefits, talk to your HR Representative for assistance.

HSA Authority is transitioning to UMB Health Care

The transition of HSA Authority to UMB Health Care is in process!  As of November 14th you are no longer able to use your Old National Bank Health Savings Account Mastercard debit card.  Over the next week you should start to see information arriving from UMB.  Other key dates to be aware of regarding this transition are:

• Week of November 14, 2022
  • You will begin receiving your UMB Welcome Letter, including your UMB HSA account number and instructions to enroll in online banking.
  • You will begin receiving your UMB Health Savings VISA Debit Card.
• November 18, 2022
  • Old National Bank resigns as HSA custodian and appoints UMB Bank as the new custodian of your HSA.  The terms of your Old National HSA are fully replaced by the terms of your UMB HSA.
  • As necessary, update stored HSA account information to reflect the information associated with your new UMB HSA, including your new HSA account number, routing number, and new HSA debit card information.
• November 21, 2022
  • You may begin using your new UMB HSA debit card.
