There hasn’t been too many major reportable happenings going on as of late but we do have updated postings, new hires, and a few other neat tidbits this week.
The little one featured in the above photo is actually the first born child of John Zimmerman. John Zimmerman was a flock supervisor for WPC at one time and now runs the family farm P & J Turkeys in Northfield, MN. You may have heard of him because he was the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association (MTGA) President this last year (preceding John Gorton). John has been great at promoting turkey and looks like he still is. Here are a few more pictures of his newborn, Grant, hanging out with some poults:

I’ll be honest, I haven’t tried this recipe out myself, but it certainly looks like a creative way to use the Turkey Valley Farms ground turkey!

Jan Hood retired on 12/30/14 after 34 1/2 years at the Willmar and Eagle Lake hatcheries as a service room supervisor.
Congratulations to Heidi and Josh on the birth of their son Wyatt James Nelson. Wyatt was born on December 21st weighting in at 7 lbs 1.5 oz, 20 inches long. Heidi works in assembly as an inventory clerk.
