Company Retirement Plan:

If you participate in our company retirement plan, this fall you may have noticed two updates in the mail from our retirement account provider. The first notification was regarding one fund in our plan that was replaced due to under-performance against the market over several quarters. Reviewing the performance of each fund in our plan and making adjustments like this from time to time is a typical process for our Retirement Plan Committee. The second notification was to explain a change in the way the fee structure is set up for our plan. This change, referred to as revenue crediting, makes the fees more transparent to us as participants and will equalize the amount over the plan.

Food Drive Contest

PALS, FSE and Willmar Logistics recently had a Food Drive Contest where PALS was pitted against Farm Service Elevator & Willmar Logistics to see who could raise more for the Food Shelf. The winning team got to enjoy a pizza lunch on Nov 29th. Pictured above is Lori Kloster from PALS & Peggy Frederick of Farm Service Elevator delivering the donations.

Here are the totals of the Food Drive Contest:

PALS: $430.00 cash | 120 actual pounds | TOTAL:   4,420  POUNDS

LOG/FSE: $390.89 cash | 87 actual pounds | TOTAL:   3,996 POUNDS

FOOD SHELF DONATION: $820.89 cash | 207 actual pounds | TOTAL:  8,416 POUNDS

Way to go everyone! It was very close and at the end of the day there no losers in this contest. We love this kind of friendly affiliate rivalry for a greater cause.

They would like to build on this contest next time around if any other affiliate is interested in joining in the challenge!

Farm Service Elevator Record

FSE took in over 3,000,000 bushels of corn this fall including a single day record of 217,000 bushels. Congratulations FSE! Some of the FSE grain team is shown below, as well as a graph depicting the bushels per day this fall:

 

Cal’s Retirement

Calton (Cal) Lowery is “out of here.” Cal is a semen driver for Ag Forte and has been with us for 29 years. He plans to fish with his newly acquired spare time and take care of his wife’s to-do lists.

Carl Lundquist Retirement

Carl Lundquist, who works in shipping & receiving in the PALS Warehouse, is retiring after being a part of the LSI family of companies for 32 years.

Super Moon
