Golf Outing
With summer coming to a close some of the Farm Service Elevator and Willmar Logistics employees managed to get in a golf outing on Saturday, August 24th at the Benson Golf Course. The teams were:

Open House
The Select Genetics Administration office hosted an open house on Wednesday, September 4th to give people a chance to check-out their new office space. People were able to get a tour, visit with the employees, and enjoy some wonderful cake and punch. Jihad Douglas, CEO of Select Genetics, was in Willmar to help celebrate. Their new office is located on the 3rd floor of cottage 1709 on the MinnWest Campus.
Community Service
A group of employees from Life-Science Innovations participated in the local United Way Day of Action on September 11th. They were lucky enough to get an inside project on a rainy day and helped with some painting projects at the Kandiyohi County YMCA.

Hi all! I’ve met many of you over the past few weeks and want to take the opportunity to introduce myself to those I have not had the pleasure to meet yet! I recently joined the Human Resources team as the Sr. Benefits Manager focusing on benefit plan design, benefit promotion; communication and marketing, leave management and compensation. Ensuring people have the means to bring their whole self to work and empowering them to be the best they can be at work and home, is my passion. My background includes exercise physiology, public health, benefits management and program implementation and I am looking forward to being part of the mission of feeding the world!
My wife, Wendy and I live in South Haven having fun trying to keep pace with our two boys Callum (5) and Kian (1.5). Football (soccer) is a staple in our house, we enjoy spending time outside and being with family and friends.
I’m looking forward to connecting with those that I haven’t met yet, so please feel free to swing down and say hello!
Flu Season
Life-Science Innovations and Affiliates will be offering employees a free flu vaccine this fall to prevent the onset and spread of the influenza virus.
Why should I have a flu shot?
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), influenza is a potentially serious disease that can lead to many health complications. Every flu season is different, and influenza infection can affect people differently, but millions of people get the flu every year, hundreds of thousands of people are hospitalized with many more at risk for severe flu-related illnesses every year. An annual seasonal flu vaccine is the best way to help protect against flu. Vaccination has been shown to have many benefits including reducing the risk of flu illnesses, reducing the risk of spreading the flu and reducing potential hospitalizations.
We encourage every employee, for the health and welfare of all of our employees (your coworkers), their families and our animals (the core of our business), to take advantage of the convenience and no cost onsite vaccination. Please see the state-specific flu-shot clinic dates below.
