Ted Huisinga and Ray Norling were honored with the Lifter Award at the Minnesota Entrepreneur Kick-off on Tuesday, May 14th in St. Paul, MN. The event is co-hosted by the Minnesota Entrepreneur Network, an informal, statewide, collaboration of entrepreneur support organizations committed to growing the Minnesota Entrepreneur Ecosystem. Ted and Ray were recognized with the award for their support in helping Marc Gorans and Nova-Tech Engineering.
The wording on the award states:
A worldwide business leader and visionary, who pursues excellence and innovation within his companies and industry and who is committed to enabling employees to maximize their strengths in pursuit of their full potential.

Picnic Season
Nova-Tech Engineering held their first grill out on Friday, May 30th and had a beautiful day for it! Watch for more pictures from their July event coming in the next update.
Turkey Lover’s Month
On June 3rd, the Select Genetics Osceola hatchery hosted a group for a tour of the hatchery. Gretta and Morgan are from the Iowa Turkey Federation and it was their first Monday of Turkey Lover’s Month. Doug High, Director of Hatchery Operations, showed them a video of how the entire process works within the hatcheries and the farms and then gave them a complete tour of the hatchery.

Performance Management Training
Kristi DeGree and Amelia Ryan, LSI Training and Development, were busy the month of May traveling around the country conducting training with the Select Genetics staff. They both did a great job training on performance management and while they were there conducted employee surveys as well. Select Genetics really appreciated the time they spent with them.

Farewell
Saúl Cuevas, said farewell to Life-Science Innovations on May 31st. After almost 3 years with LSI, Saúl accepted a new role with Epitopix as a Senior Accountant. This is part of the steps Epitopix is taking toward building their own admin team. While we are sad to see Saúl go, we are thankful that he isn’t venturing too far away (Epitopix is located on the MinnWest campus)!
