As many of you know, Ted Huisinga, former Chairman of the Board for Life-Science Innovations and Affiliates, passed away on June 17th, 2020 at the age of 95.  Ted joined the company in 1951 and was an integral part of our organization. He remained passionate and involved throughout his life continuing to come in to the office daily.  He led the companies in partnership with Ray Norling for many years and together they began the trend of investing in new technology, taking risks and established those roots for us early on which still guide us today. Ted was a visionary, even at 95 he was consistently looking towards the future.  In memory of Ted, Torry Norling compiled a short video including an interview with Ted from 2017 on his perspective of the company he helped grow and lead for 69 years.  Ted’s insights and passion for innovation, his welcoming smile and his leadership will be dearly missed.

Empower’s web series continues in July providing information and guidance on Moving Forward in Uncertain Times – Part 2.  This interactive educational WebEx series, hosted by Empower – our 401(k) Retirement Plan partner, will provide an opportunity for you to interact with Empower Retirement educators. A variety of topics will be covered and we hope you will find value in this educational series.

These virtual sessions may include employees from multiple employers; therefore, they will not focus on details specific to the Life-Science Innovations and Affiliates Retirement Plan. However, the information in these presentations will help you understand broader retirement strategies that may be helpful for you.
