PALS Summer Celebration
MinnWest Ag Conference
MinnWest Technology Campus co-hosted the Partners in Ag Innovation Conference with the Kandiyohi County Economic Development on June 18th. This year’s theme for the annual conference was The Impact of Technology on Agriculture. Speakers addressed topics on AI, climate modeling, biotechnology, automation and robotics, precision farming, and more. The keynote speaker, Joleen Hadrich, PhD, Associate Dean, University of Minnesota’s College of Food, Agriculture and Natural Sciences (CFANS), presented on “The Future of Ag” and highlighted some interesting statistics about the impact agriculture has on the State of Minnesota (see below), such as, the fact that Minnesota is in the top 10 of producers for several commodities, including #1 for turkeys! So in a nutshell, what is the Future of Ag according to Joleen Hadrich? “We are continually evolving.” If you are interested checking out more of Dr. Hadrich’s presentation or other speakers from the conference you can learn more at: www.partnersinag.com
