Turkey Valley Farms annual picnic
Saturday June 13 Turkey Valley Farms held it’s annual employee picnic with record attendance of over 600 people! Fun and games were plenty for all! The annual soccer tournament this year yielded 4 men’s teams and new this year = 2 women’s teams!

Nova-Tech Engineering summer picnics
NTE usually has a yearly Spring and Fall cookout where President Jim Sieben puts on his apron and flips those turkey burgers for the enjoyment of the entire company; this year they are amping it up with a trifecta of grill-outs. Nova-Tech is famous for their monthly parties/meetings where they recognize new employees, birthdays, and work anniversaries. Pictured below is the first of 3 planned summer company picnics:

Our AgForte Eastern Division welcomed members of both the Tech Team and HR Team this past week in Virginia.
Michelle Behl was on a routine visit to the hatchery reviewing items such as poult quality, hatchability, breakout and egg handling and working with the hatchery managers on new ways to improve. Kristi DeGree presented their employee engagement survey results and Katie Steinhaus provided training on servant leadership. Thank you Harrisonburg breeder and hatchery teams for your hospitality and collaboration, we enjoy working with you!
As many of you know, travel doesn’t always go according to the plan. Sometimes there are unexpected upgrades! Katie and Kristi had to squeeze into the last rental car available after a series of travel delays when they got to Virginia at 2 am: downgrade. (Unless you enjoy driving clown cars through the mountains.) Meanwhile Michelle cruised around in a red Chevy Camaro convertible for the week: upgrade. This round in travel adventures goes to the Tech Team!
