General Manager Announcement
Good afternoon,
I am happy to announce that Terri Wasmoen will be joining our organization on August 31st as the new General Manager of Epitopix! Jim Sandstrom has been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to turn over management responsibilities so he can fully focus on his strengths in customer service, sales and technical support. With his talents focused there we believe he will thrive and keep pushing our products in a positive direction in the marketplace.
Terri brings a wealth of experience in vaccine development and licensing, as well as a proven track record of managing teams that deliver strong results! She holds a PhD in Immunology from the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and a successful background in the animal health industry. Her career has been split between small start-up companies and large global organizations, but she’s particularly excited to be joining a small established company with so much opportunity ahead. She arrives with a passion to take all of the experience she has earned over the years and applying her knowledge to help the Epitopix team take the company to the next level!
I asked Terri for a quote for this announcement she sent back the following,

She is excited, you can hear the energy in her voice. I spent some time talking to her this morning and walking her through our current organization chart and at her request I’ve also provided her with a list of Epitopix’ employee strengths so she can hit the ground running and start building relationships and learning. I appreciate everyone who participated in the interview process and provided helpful questions and feedback to make sure we found the best person possible.
As Terri mentioned above, our SRP platform holds great promise and we are set up for strong success. As we continue on with a new leader in place, we are excited to see what Epitopix delivers over the coming years.

Major Construction Manager
We are pleased to announce that Shawn Peltier will be joining the LSI R&D team on August 24th as our Major Construction Manager!
We have two large projects starting next month; The Nursery Brooding Facility led by Shawn Engstrom and an addition to the Willmar Hatchery (due to the increased Poult demand next year). Because of the scope of these projects we felt it necessary to bring someone on with extensive commercial construction background.
Mark Anderson is still handling all of the breeder construction projects and Ryan Gonnerman is in charge of all the commercial grow out construction projects.
On top of our large construction plans, we have a numerous amount of projects that have been piling up. This is due to the additional things that we need to do to our facilities in response to increasing levels of biosecurity on our farms (as a result of AI risk). We are excited to have Shawn’s extensive expertise on board to help share the load and make these projects happen.

On Thursday, August 6th Lisa Herron-Olson (Chief Operating Officer) celebrated her 10 year anniversary with Syntiron. Ben Wileman, Director of Global Tech Services, caught her by surprise by driving down unexpectedly for her anniversary, packing a couple gallons of ice cream. The rest of the team had a custom cake made for her (to go with the ice cream). Lisa was caught off guard and quite enjoyed the surprise. Her official anniversary was August 8th. Congratulations Lisa, thank you for your years of service and everything that you do!
